Pass with 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree* (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree #) or equivalent in the relevant subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview.
# Candidate who has completed 1-year/2-semester Master's Degree* programme with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree is also eligible.
OR
A candidate who has completed 4-years/8-semesters Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with 75% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC and have minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in teaching/research/Industry is also eligible.
(A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC or ST or OBC (non-creamy layer) or Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the commission from time to time.)
Note: If an institute has conversion factor of 9.5 then CGPA of 7.5 will not result in 75% marks and hence such a candidate will not be eligible
Applicants who have qualified UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF) examination/ GATE or GPAT score card or passed M.Phil. Programme (in Regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
Note:NOTE:- Admission to the following PhD programmes is not allowed directly after 4-year UG programme.
