Creative Ability Test (CAT)


This test consists of 1 drawing question, where the applicant has an option to choose a question either from Design or Film Production field.

It is conducted for understanding and knowing the creative quotient of the student. The mind level and the conceptualization along with required technical skills for the concerned program will be gauged through this.

1) SAMPLE QUESTIONS FOR DESIGN

CAT test is administered to judge the skill, power of observation, sense of composition, creativity, diversity of ideas and design ability of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is the candidate’s use of colour and illustration.

Question 1

Using the visual elements given in the box below, create 5 different design ideas/images on your answer sheet by creating 5 boxes of size (20x12)cm each and giving a title to each design.

Instructions:

  1. Draw only within the boundaries of the boxes.
  2. Use only drawing pencil for sketching and shading.
