Different Phases of LPUNEST-2017 and Scholarship Details

PHASE – I: [Also known EDB–Early Decision Benefit Phases ]

  • a) Application process for Phase – I (i.e. EDB):
    • The last date for Application has been extended till 30th May With Late fee of `100/-
    • Applicants applying for LPUNEST – 2015 in Phase – I, will be eligible for all the fee / Scholarship benefits of EDB as mentioned in subsequent clauses under the head “Advantages of Phase – I”
    • Additionally such applicants will be allowed to take a second attempt if he/she is not satisfied with his /her performance in the first attempt.
    • The better of two scores will be considered for the merit list and can be considered for eligibility as well as Fee/Scholarship benefit.
    • The applicant has to apply for the second chance on the prescribed form but will not be charged any fee for second chance.

  • b) Applicants must apply as per the above phase and appear for exam as per the preferred slot from 20th April to 30th May, 2015.
  • c) The last date of Admissions for Phase – I is 15th June 2015.
  • d) After appearing for LPUNEST-2017 in Phase-I, applicant will come to know whether (or not)
    • He/she has ‘qualified LPUNEST-2017’ (i.e. scored more than the prescribed Cut-off marks as decided by University). Applicants qualifying LPUNEST will be eligible for Phase – I fee i.e. 2014 fee. Result regarding whether an applicant has qualified or not qualified LPUNEST-2017 will be declared one day after conduct of exam on university website (www.lpu.in).
    • He/she is among ‘top 30% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST-2017 (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017) in Phase – I. In fact separate list for top 10% , next 10% (11%- 20%) and next 10% (21% - 30%) will be announced. Result regarding whether an applicant is among top 30% applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 will be declared on or before 10th June 2015.
  • e) Advantages of Phase - I:
    • Fee of 2014: All those applicants who ‘qualify LPUNEST-2017’ (may or may not be among ‘top 30% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST-2017) during Phase – I (i.e. on or before 30th May 2015) will be eligible for Admission with Fee of 2014 which is `10000/- (per annum) lesser than fee of 2015.
    • Scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST-2017: ‘Top 30% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017), will be eligible for Scholarship upto 1 Lac per annum as per the following table :

    • Multiple Options for Scholarship: All those applicants who ‘qualify LPUNEST-2017’ (may or may not be among ‘top 30% applicants’ appearing for LPUNEST-2017) may also avail Scholarship on the basis of Marks in 10+2 or performance in JEE(Main) as per the following table 2:

  • f) It may happen that result of qualifying exam (i.e. 10+2) is already declared before EDB cut-off date and applicant is eligible for Admission in B.Tech programmes directly based on his marks in qualifying exam. Even such applicant has to appear and clear LPUNEST-2017, if he/she is interested to avail EDB i.e. Phase – I Fee and Scholarship. If such applicant does not want to appear for tests as mentioned above then he/she can take admission but fee and Scholarship of Phase – II (without EDB) will be applicable.

PHASE – II: 1ST JUNE 2015 TO 30TH JUNE 2015.

  • a) Applicants admitted in Phase – II, will not be getting the advantage of Fee of 2014 [last year fee as available in Phase – I (under EDB Scheme)], rather during Phase- II, applicants will be charged with fee of 2015. However during Phase - II applicant may avail following advantages
    • Applicants taking admission in Phase - II will avail higher scholarship than Phase - III. The difference will be `20000/- per annum resulting in cumulative benifit of `80000/- in four years (or 1 Lac in 5 years in case of integrated programmes).
    • Two different brackets of Scholarship are defined in Phase-II (as mentioned in Table 3). Out of these two brackets,one of the Scholarship bracket will be applicable to the applicant depending on whether he/she qualify LPUNEST-2017 or not. Applicants qulifying LPUNEST2015 in Phase- II will get higher scholarship than the applicant not apearing for LPUNEST2015. The difference will be 10000/- per annum resulting in cumulative benifit of `40000/- in four years. (or 50,000 in 5 years in case of integrated programmes).
    • Applicants who are among ‘top 30% applicants’ (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017) in Phase - II may avail Financial Aid of 40000/- per annum in case they are not falling in any scholarship bracket.

  • b) To avail the Scholarship/Financial Aid as defined in Phase – II, applicant must take admission on or before 30th June 2015.
  • c) It must also be taken care that to avail benifit of higher scholarship (Scholarship Bracket I as per Table 3) applicant must apply and appear for LPUNEST-2017 by 30th June 2015.
    Last date of application is 30th June 2015 but applicants are advised to apply early to avoid last moment rush.
  • d) Result regarding whether an applicant has qualified or not qualified LPUNEST-2017 (i.e. whether Scholarship Bracket 1 or Scholarship Bracket 2 is applicable) will be declared one day after conduct of exam on university website (www.lpu.in).
  • e) Result regarding whether an applicant is among top 30% applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 (i.e. result of Financial Aid) will be declared on 10th July 2015.
  • IMP: Phase II of the test will be available only if the seats remain vacant.

PHASE – III: 1st July to 25th July 2015

  • a) During Phase-III, applicants will be charged with fee of 2015. However during Phase-III applicant may avail following advantages.
    • Phase-III of LPUNEST-2017 becomes very important as this may be the last chance to avail scholarship/Financial Aid on the basis of performance in LPUNEST-2017 or on the basis of marks in qualifying exam (10+2) or on the basis of performance in JEE(MAIN).
    • Just like Phase – II, two different brackets of Scholarship are defined in Phase–III (as mentioned in Table 4) . Out of these two brackets, one of the Scholarship bracket will be applicable to the applicant, depending on whether he/ she ‘qualify LPUNEST-2017’ or not. Applicants qualifying LPUNEST-2017 in Phase-III will get higher scholarship than the Applicant not appearing for LPUNEST2015. The Difference will be 10000/- per annum resulting in cumulative benefit of `40000/- in four years (or `50,000 in 5 years in case of integrated programmes).
    • Applicants who are among ‘top 30% applicants’ (subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017) in Phase - III may avail Financial Aid of 20000/- (per annum) in case they are not follwing in any Scholarship bracket.

  • b) To avail the Scholarship/Financial Aid as defined in Phase – III, applicant must take admission on or before 25th July 2015.
  • c) It must also be taken care that to avail benifit of higher scholarship (Scholarship Bracket I as per Table 4) applicant must apply and appear for LPUNEST-2017 by 25th July 2015.
    Last date of application is 25th July 2015 but applicants are advised to apply early to avoid last moment rush.
  • d) Result regarding whether an applicant has qualified or not qualified LPUNEST-2017 (i.e. whether Scholarship Bracket 1 or Scholarship Bracket 2 is applicable) will be declared one day after conduct of exam on university website (www.lpu.in).
  • e) Result regarding whether an applicant is among top 30% applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 (i.e. result of Financial Aid) will be declared on 04th August 2015.
    IMP: Phase III of the test will be available only if the seats remain vacant.

* To qualify (Pass) LPUNEST-2017, applicant must score equal to or more than 30% Marks.

Important Information

  • If an applicant applies and clear LPUNEST – 2015 in a Phase-I or in Phase- II but do not take admission by the last date as prescribed for that specific phase, rather takes admission in subsequent phase, then he/she will be eligible only for Financial Aid as per the phase in which he/she takes admission.
  • In case an applicant fails to produce the proof of fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria or any other document prescribed by the university or fails to provide original documents for verification by the stipulated date(s), he/she shall not be considered eligible for admission/ scholarship/ financial aid, in any case, if granted due to any reason shall be cancelled and the applicant shall have no claim, whatsoever against the university.
